Hi, I’m Megan—a nurse, wife, mom, and now a nature-based photographer. After years of balancing a fulfilling nursing career and family life, I’m taking steps to expand into a lifelong passion: photography. My family and I recently moved from Texas to the stunning Pacific Northwest, and we’ve been loving every minute of exploring the great outdoors.

Photography has been part of me for as long as I can remember. Growing up, film rarely stood a chance in our house—much to my mom’s dismay. I went through rolls faster than she could stock them, snapping photos of anything and everything that caught my eye. My early love for capturing moments eventually led to working as a photography editor and assistant, where I learned so much about composition, storytelling, and the art of creating impactful images.

Life led me to nursing, a profession I love for its ability to connect with people and make a difference. But through it all, photography has been my creative outlet—a way to slow down, be present, and appreciate the beauty in everyday life. Moving to the Pacific Northwest reignited that passion. Surrounded by lush forests, rugged coastlines, and incredible wildlife, I knew it was time to embrace this dream and share my work with others.

Through this blog, I’ll document my journey as I balance the art of photography with my career and family life. I’ll share the stories behind my favorite shoots, tips for capturing the beauty of nature, and insights into the creative process. Whether you’re a fellow creative, someone who loves the outdoors, or simply curious about photography, I hope you’ll find something inspiring here.

Thank you for being here—it means the world to me! I’d love to hear your thoughts: what’s a moment you’ve captured that means the most to you? Let’s connect and share stories.
